From America's Pacific Northwest comes TRANSGRESSIONS, the much-awaited first release from Portland's Tigerbite.
These four tracks are the result of over two years of writing, fine-tuning, evolving, and perfecting. From initial idea to live performance to EP release, these are songs honed to a fine point and carefully constructed to maximize your enjoyment.
Tigerbite's sound is a delicate, spacey fuzz wrapping around a syrup-sweet core, powered by an All-Star rumble of a rhythm section. A foursome of well traveled, highly accomplished musicians with band experiences crossing the country from New York City to Los Angeles, Texas to Wisconsin, Kentucky to Colorado, Tigerbite found itself in sunny Oregon, parked itself in the basement practice space, pored (and poured) over the music, and here we are.
Tigerbite's sound has been favorably compared to beloved outfits like Archers of Loaf, Blur, Broken Social Scene, Built to Spill, Cobra Verde, DIIV, Future Islands, Grandaddy, Interpol, Modest Mouse, My Bloody Valentine, The National, Real Estate, Pedro the Lion, The Shins, Spoon, Turnover, and others.
Tigerbite likes to think of it as our own sound. One infused with the music we love from the people we respect translated through our own experiences and interpretations.
